One-way mirror is also known as one-sided mirror or atomic mirror, but in reality, it’s a bit of a two-faced mirror. This type of mirror is created using advanced high-vacuum plasma coating technology. A nano-metal chrome aluminum film is applied to one side of a glass substrate, resulting in highly reflective glass that allows visible light to pass through in only one direction.

Under normal lighting conditions, a one-way mirror looks like a regular mirror. However, when observed from the other side, it appears as colored glass. The one-sided reflection effect is produced by variations in the ambient light intensity on each side of the mirror. To make use of this unique mirror, the reflective side should face toward the area with strong light sources. In low-light environments, observers can see objects clearly on the other side of the mirror; but from the well-lit environment, observers can only see their own reflection on the mirror.
