Heat soaked glass is a type of tempered glass that has undergone a special process designed to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage, which is a common flaw of tempered glass. It means that the tempered glass can shatter on its own without any external force during processing, storage, transportation, installation, or use. Such an occurrence poses a significant safety hazard to anyone nearby.

To overcome this issue, tempered glass undergoes heat soaking, which involves heating it to 290℃±10℃ in a specialized furnace and maintaining a constant temperature for a specific duration. During this process, nickel sulfide (NiS) crystals present in the glass undergo rapid crystalline phase transformation, leading to accelerated expansion within the tempered glass. As a result, any tempered glass that could have otherwise shattered spontaneously after use breaks in the factory's homogenization furnace, thus decreasing the probability of spontaneous breakage during installation and use.

While we cannot guarantee that heat soaked glass will not spontaneously break, our heat soaking process boasts a reduced rate of spontaneous breakage to approximately one in ten thousand.
